By using a combination of mechanical pressure and micro-vibrations, the prostate and surrounding tissue and nerves are stimulated. Studies have shown prostate massage used for less than 4 weeks in men with BPH resulted in a reduction in lower urinary symptoms and an improvement in quality of life.

Benefits of External Prostate Massage

👉 For best results, it’s important to be evaluated by your physician first—these benefits apply only if you do not have prostate cancer.

Frequently asked question

  • It increases nutrient-rich and oxygenated blood flow to the prostate
  • It flushes toxins and releases stagnant fluids
  • Decreases fibrosis or stiffness
  • Stimulates the nerves and blood flow responsible for erection

For external massage, the prostate is located halfway between the testicles and the anus. The prostate can be located internally 2.5 inches inside the rectum with the finger or massager facing towards the stomach.

Once the massager is in place, turn on vibration mode.

  • 3–5 minutes.
  • ½ inch forward and let it run for another 3–5 minutes.
  • 1 inch backward and let it run for an additional 3–5 minutes.

Once completed, remove the massager and wash with soap under running water.
Do not submerge in water.

Everyone is different. You have to pay attention to your body and how you feel. If you experience pain, then you should stop and immediately consult your physician. Experiment with timing and frequency until you find a rhythm that works for you.

Prostate massagers are not medical devices, so law requires us to state:
A) The FDA has not evaluated the health claims of prostate massage;
B) This product is not intended to diagnose, treat, cure, or prevent any disease, because only a drug or medical device can legally make this claim.

Understanding Your Prostate

Your prostate is a walnut-sized gland located at the base of the bladder, between your bladder and penis, just in front of the rectum — essentially, the base of the penis. The urethra (the tube that urine and semen travel through) passes from the bladder, through the center of the prostate, then through the penis and ends at its tip.

It’s easy to underestimate the importance of the prostate. However, the prostate gland is directly involved in the male sexual response cycle. It is indirectly involved in erection and directly involved in ejaculation.

Key Roles of the Prostate:

  • Protector of Sperm: Secretes pre-cum and fluid that protects sperm.
  • Power Switch for Ejaculate Creation: Houses nerve fibers that stimulate the seminal vesicles to produce seminal fluid.
  • Houses Erection Starter Nerves: Cavernous nerves controlling erection run through it.
  • Ejaculate Sling Shot: Acts like a rubber band to propel ejaculate.
  • Creates a Powerful Form of Testosterone: Converts testosterone into DHT.
  • Toxin Filter: Filters toxins to protect sperm.
  • Prevents Urine Leakage: Wraps around the urethra with sphincters to control flow and prevent leakage.

Potential Benefits of Prostate Massage

  • Helps drain occluded ejaculatory ducts that have built up over the years.
  • Decreases fibrosis (stiffness).
  • Improves the flow of nutrient-rich blood to the prostate.
  • Stimulates the nerves and blood vessels responsible for erection.
  • Removes stagnant fluids and may flush out built-up toxins.

FDA Compliance Notice

Prostate massagers are not classified as medical devices, so by law, I must state:

  1. The FDA has not evaluated the health claims of prostate massage.
  2. This product is not intended to diagnose, treat, cure, or prevent any disease, as only a drug or medical device can legally make such claims.

Prostate Massage Guidelines

It is important that before you initiate prostate massage, you speak with your healthcare provider first.

  • During the first week, keep your massage sessions around 5 minutes and gradually work up to a 20-minute massage.
  • Start with 5–15 minute sessions, 2–3 times a week initially, then shift to once a month for maintenance.
  • If you have active hemorrhoids or feel nervous, consider starting with external prostate massage — begin where you feel most comfortable.

Ask your physician first. For most individuals: 2 times a week initially for 3–4 weeks, then maintenance of once a month.

Men with active and painful hemorrhoids should not engage in prostate massage… known or active prostate cancer is a contraindication… active and painful prostatitis in an acute phase should also avoid it. As always, consult your physician.
